A Letter from our
VP Formal Recruitment
My name is Kayla Lee, and I am the Vice President of Formal Recruitment for Arizona AEPhi. I joined AEPhi through formal recruitment as a freshman, but to be honest, I was hesitant at first. I didn’t think I fit the stereotypical sorority mold that social media portrays, but I trusted that I would find my home away from home. As the recruitment process unfolded, it became apparent to me how special it is to have the chance to be a part of the Greek community. Joining a sorority has not only allowed me to build lifelong friendships, and I now have the opportunity to serve on AEPhi’s executive board for my first term, developing leadership and communication skills that will benefit me in both my professional and personal life.
I’m incredibly proud to continue the legacy of recruiting strong, amazing women, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without AEPhi.
Recruitment can feel overwhelming, but it will become one of the most valuable experiences of your college journey. This process gives you the opportunity to meet hundreds of incredible women and find the chapter that feels like home. It’s something I’ve become extremely passionate about, it’s inspiring to see the entire Panhellenic community come together to welcome new members and continue the legacy of sisterhood here at Arizona.
To all potential new members, know that it’s okay to be nervous! We are so excited to meet each of you and help you find your home away from home. Trust the process—you will find your people! Stay true to yourself, and you’ll naturally connect with those who share your values and help you grow into the best version of yourself. Keep an open mind, embrace the experience, and remember that everything happens for a reason—you’ll end up exactly where you’re meant to be. Most importantly, look for the people who feel like home, those connections will last far beyond recruitment.
I couldn’t be more proud to call the amazing women of Alpha Epsilon Phi my sisters, and I can’t wait for you to find your home within our incredible Panhellenic community.
LML,
Kayla Lee
